While staking out a strip club whose patrons are being mugged, Vic is called away to a market where crack addicted prostitute Connie Resiler's mother has died. Upset and left to take care of her thirteen-month-old son, Connie asks Nick for help. And leaving Ronnie to help her kick the drug habit, Vic takes the baby home. As Captain Aceveda fields reporter Tereza Varela's questions, Dutch suspects that Danny and Julien may have come across the serial killer he's been looking for. And after an arrest leaves Danny splashed with a transvestite prostitute's AIDS infected blood, Shane brings in the stripper and her accomplice. As Dutch begins an interrogation to expose Sean Taylor as the serial killer, Danny is given drugs to keep her from getting AIDS. But when some cops offer to teach the transvestite a lesson, she warns them off. Hoping that one will turn against the other, Lemonhead interrogates the mugger while Shane questions the seductive stripper, Tulips. Then, as Tereza's questions force Aceveda to enlist Vic in an effort to get her to back off, things only get worse when the reporter discovers an old rape accusation that could scuttle his city council bid. Meanwhile, Vic must convince his wife that Connie's son isn't his. Following sex with her, Shane discovers that Tulips is threatening to expose him if she isn't cleared of the charges. And after convincing Ronnie that she's on the road to recovery, Connie slips away to make a drug buy. As Aceveda looks to minimize the damage from Tereza's story, Dutch becomes a hero for getting Sean to confess to killing over twenty people.
