1935 Stout Scarab

Bookmark Page       Print Page

Stout Scarab, designed by aircraft and automobile engineer, writer, inventor and futurist, William Bushnell Stout. The world's first mini-van integrated innovations: a rear-mounted v8 engine, independent coil suspension and its aircraft heritage was evident in a streamlined (initially aluminium) body. Only nine built, each with individual bodywork.
