"To construct a web page isn't technically difficult, virtually anyone with some basic PC skills and a little bit of software can do it.
But to develop a web site, with a cohesive user friendly feel and a consistent corporate look that is easy to navigate and optomised for use on the internet, requires a professional."

Design Examples

Media - Regardless of the image type, the better the quality of the source image, the better the quality of the web image. However there can be enhancements made once it is in digital form. This is called optomising and include operations such as adjusting the contrast, brightness, hue and saturation, gamma, focus, dimensions, resolution, datatype as well as a wide range of special effects. Usually images are optomised for presentation on the screen and there is always a trade off between file size and print quality.

Page Design - This is where you can let you imagination go wild. But uppermost in your mind must be ease of use by a visitor to your website. It's no good if you have some maga graphic on your front page, if it takes a minute to download. Research has shown that a visitor wont wait longer than 30 seconds for something to load, before they move on to another site.

Content - It's one thing to get people to visit your site, it's another to get them to return or keep coming back. As well as providing visitors with information about your company and it's products or services, an excellent technique for building return visits is to include other information that is of use to them.
For example a supplier of chassis or suspension components could include pages with dimension details for the original components or parts he builds. Or it could be a list of links to other complimentary websites.
