Biggest Beater - Season 3 - Episode 16

To truly take on the challenges of all challenges, Overhaulin' set out to find and fully reinvent America's Biggest Beater; the ride that really needs some tough love. After going through a mountain of Overhaulin' submissions, Chip Foose and Chris Jacobs narrowed it down to three finalists. The designer and the prankster then hit the road to see the cars and owners in person, traveling to the Midwest, the South and along the West coast.

The loser that would become the big winner happened to be David and his 1971 Camaro. David is a Texan and his old Chevy appears to have lost at the Alamo. It was a smoking, hobbled, beaten mess. Chip and the team brought i t to Southern California and went at it during a standard Overhaulin' seven-day build. David arrived for deconstruction but was sent back to the Lone Star State until D-Day. Unlike anyone else who's been Overhauled, David got to tell Chip exactly what he wanted in a wild ride. And David DID want wild. When he returned for the reveal, David saw GM's largest production crate engine in the most colorful car of Chip's career. Long-story-short: it's now an amazing '71 Camaro.
